A star by any other name. Well, this particular pattern has many variations and many names. But this classic is mostly known as, “The Ohio Star.” Seemingly as old as time itself, this pattern goes back to around the mid-1800’s. One story even cites the origin as the first College open to women and African-Americans: Oberlin College. No matter where or when it began, it’s as Ohio as the Amish and the corn they were eating.
