So if you follow us on social media, you've probably seen us retweet or share a photo of an adorable dog sporting some neck gear. Enter CollarDoos. Kristen Nester of CollarDoos took the time to share a bit about how they got into the doggie accessory biz - check it out:
Q: What's the story behind your business, and how did you get started? A: My husband Nate and I launched CollarDoos in 2013. What started as a fun way to dress up our two Great Danes, Scooby & Scrappy, turned into a thriving small business. We offer a line of accessories for dogs, including bow ties, flowers, bandanas, collars and leashes, as well as an apparel & accessory line for human dog-lovers.
Q: What makes your products unique? A: All of our products are made in Columbus. We have hundreds of different designs and styles, including our popular holiday collections, in a wide range of sizes, fitting chihuahuas to Great Danes, something for every dog! We are proud to work with a number of shelter and rescue organizations in Ohio, and across the country, donating product for dogs searching for their forever homes. Our accessories are used as photo props to add character to pictures used on social media to generate awareness and adoption!
Q: What do you like about being part of the Celebrate Local family? We cherish our partnership with the CL family. They have gone above and beyond to support and promote our small business. The Easton Town Center location is a unique store and a fun place to shop for gift items, and for yourself, and we are excited to soon be a part of the Liberty store, growing with the CL family!
